Entrepreneurship and The Game Of Death

Russian roulette.

The game of death.

Will it shoot?

Is it an empty chamber?

Will I be carried out of here dead?

Who knows?

Only 1 thing comes close to this level of uncertainty and death;

Entrepreneurship.

Here's how to survive:

For the record, I don't have the balls to play Russian roulette

So I'll be showing you how to survive entrepreneurship while using words that make me sound badass.

But for those who don't know how the game is played, here's how:

The Rules of Russian Roulette:

  1. Load a single round into a revolver, leaving five slots empty.

  2. Spin the revolver cylinder.

  3. Aim the revolver at the side of your head, around the temple/ at another player (if you're two)

  4. Pull the trigger.

Scary right?

Why would anyone play such a game?

Beats me. But I do know one thing;

The closer you are to death, the more you enjoy life.

Now let's put it in business terms.

Why would anyone choose entrepreneurship?

It is uncertain. It is risky. It is beyond stressful

In fact I believe all entrepreneurs are crazy.

And that is beautiful.

In a world where you need money to survive, most people choose jobs because they're sure of a paycheck.

Yet entrepreneurs choose to be incharge of whether they make money or not.

This is almost as risky as playing with death

Because the closer you look at it, the more you see that you're playing a game with your survival.

But I believe that it is that thrill of not knowing, that makes the entrepreneurship game worth it.

Now How Do You Survive The Game?

  1. Know where your bullet is:

In Russian Roulette you spin the chamber so you don't know the position of the bullet.

In entrepreneurship however you should know every risk you're willing to take.

Always have a plan. Always be calculated.

  1. Never point the gun at your head unless you're sure of victory.

Never take risks too big for you to handle.

A big enough mistake and your business will go extinct.

If you will take a huge risk, then make sure the returns are almost guaranteed.

  1.  Always pull the trigger yourself.

Take action. Always.

This world is not for the passive.

Do not put your fate in the hands of another.

Whatever you do, always take action.

Action breeds progress and with progress will give you data for future endeavours.
